VACANT POSITIONS IN NAKURU COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE 

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 59 of the County Governments Act 2012, Nakuru County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions. 


Salary Scale: Ksh. 50,000 p.m. 
Terms of service: Three (3) year contract 

Qualifications and Experience 

  1. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing / Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing / Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution;
  2. Registration Certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya;
  3. Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya; and
  4. A certificate in computer applications. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: 

  1. Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient's outcomes;
  2. Providing appropriate healthcare service including Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, Integrated Management of adulthood Illnesses (IMAI), ante-natal care and delivery, providing health education and counselling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs; Referring patients and clients appropriately;
  3. Facilitating patients' admission and initiating discharge plans;
  4. Maintaining records on patients/client’s health condition and care;
  5. Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment; and
  6. Collecting and compiling data.
